Kinds of Organic Products Available Today

So as to live a healthy life despite the popularity of preservative-filled products, one need to be a wise consumer and one way to do this is to strive to buy organic. But first, what are organic products? For readers who need some details on this, organic goods are products made without using pesticides or any artificial chemicals and substances. These natural goods can range from organic beauty products to foods and drinks available in many markets today. Organic products could also include fabrics made of natural materials such as hemp, cotton, grass and natural medicines as well. Even our pets have benefited from this trend because organic pet care goods are now accessible to many pet owners. Due to this sudden interest in anything organic, food manufacturers and consumer-driven companies have joined the bandwagon and are now into the art of creating innovative organic products.

FOOD

For the owners of food companies, this sudden change in consumers' preferences sparked a new trend, organically-grown goods that are free from pesticides and other man-made but potentially harmful chemicals. Due to this trend, many farmers nowadays practice "organic farming" or the application of natural methods so as to produce fruits, nuts, beans, Edensoy, vegetables and meat sources. When these organically-grown products are processed, farmers do not use any type of additives or artificial flavorings. They also avoid using preservatives and man-made growers or fertilizers.

There are two forms of organic foods, fresh and processed. Fresh organic foods usually refer to fruits, vegetables and meat grown and harvested without using pesticides and fertilizers. Most of these goods are directly bought from farmers who own organic farms. On the other hand, organic goods that are processed are made from organic materials. To further illustrate this idea, a bag of potato chips made from potatoes that are free from pesticides or fertilizers is a good example. This natural trend is also applied to the manufacturing process of organic or natural pesticides, fertilizers and other farming supplies.

To make sure that the caliber of natural foods is maintained throughout the production process, certain standards have been drafted by governments in many countries. These regulating standards were also created so as to address safety issues.

Organic foods have many advantages, they promote a healthy lifestyle and they pose fewer risks to the environment because they do not use man-made pesticides and growers. These natural products come in a wide variety of herbal products, convenience goods, breakfast cereals, condiments, canned goods, spices, frozen desserts, tofu-based products and baby foods. Organic materials are also incorporated into the process of creating delicious juices, spreads, syrups, wines, sweeteners, candies, teas, coffee, pasta and dairy products. The only drawback is that these organically-grown products are more expensive. As a consequence, those with lower incomes have limited access to these kinds of foods.

Clothing

The organic trend has also invaded the fashion industry since many designers and clothing companies are patronizing fabrics made of natural elements. Examples of these ecologically-conscious companies are Nike, Phat, and Howies. Additionally, some textile companies are now using organic raw materials to create bedding, dyes, towels, and mattresses.

Beauty and Medicine

In alternative medicine, massage oils that can help alleviate body pains are popular among health buffs since they were distributed into the commercial market. Natural bath products and aromatherapy goods are also infused with organic materials. Organic plants are usually used in creating these kinds of body products and they're proven to have therapeutic effects.

Organic products have given us alternatives to commercial goods that are filled with man-made chemicals and substances that can cause harmful effects on the human body when consumed for a long time. Fortunately, this trend is still on the rise, promising a healthier option not only for our bodies but for the environment and future of the planet.
